Let's first talk about what a notification actually is. A notification is a message, whether that be an email, a text-alert, some type of information, icon or symbol that will appear in an application that wants to get your attention. Like, "Hello. I need you to pay attention to me. Something's happening." Notifications are a way to let you know that something new has happened within the system, whether you're logged in or not, or using the system or not. So, as you can imagine, notifications are very important so you don't miss any important activity that are taking place in the application. With that said, we've added three types of notifications you can get within the Shop Boss system that allows you to get information based on specific actions. Those types of notifications that we've set up are email, text message, and a shop notification.
