How do I set up the Parts Price Matrix?

To set up the Parts Price Matrix, follow these easy steps to get to the Matrix Page:

1. From the main WIP page click on Settings

2. Then find the menu button for Parts Price Matrix

Once on the page for the Parts Price Matrix, there are some things that must be noted.

These are preset from day one of the trial and can be completely customized to a shop.

Those categories can be deleted or create as many as needed.

Some shops choose to just have a preset mark up and have part categories based on those like 20% markup, or 30% markup, whereas some shops with break down the categories into certain items like Suspension, Brakes, Dealer Parts, Oil Change etc.

How in-depth the categories are created will determine how in depth reporting is as far as Parts Sold by Categories.

Please note that the "Starting Part Cost" and the "Ending Part Cost" must contain all possibilities of cost prices. Looking at the first Brake Part line, the Starting Part Cost says 0.01 (a penny) then the Ending Part Cost is 2.99 ($2.99), then the next line starts at 3.00 and goes to 19.99, then the next line starts at 20.00 and goes to 99.99 etc.

The factor is the multiplication factor by which you want to calculate your markup. For example, if you wanted to set a markup of 40%, your factor would be 1.40 and if you wanted a markup of 80% your multiplication factor would be 1.80. The GPM is your Gross Profit Margin which is calculated based upon your cost and your sale price. Just because it does not say 40% as your GPM does not mean that it is not marking up the parts 40%.

The display order is which order you want your categories to show up when adding parts to an RO. 1 will show first, 2 will show second, and so on.
