Creating Invoices

In our program, every Invoice or Estimate is referred to as a Repair Order (RO). The only difference between an Invoice and an Estimate in our system is the status of the Repair Order itself.

Any Repair Order with a status of:

  • Inspection
  • Approval
  • Parts
  • Assembly
  • Quality Check

are considered an Estimate as the work is not completed.

Once the status reaches:

  • Final
  • Closed

the printed Repair Order will show as an Invoice (Repair Order) rather than an Estimate.

This makes the process more efficient for the Shop as the program automatically converts the Repair Order from Estimate, to Invoice in a seamless manner.

If you would like to or need to change the label from Estimate and Invoice you can go to Settings->Custom Settings->Printing Preferences and at the bottom of the second column you will see the fields for Invoice Label, Estimate Label as well as Mileage and Quote label. This will affect ALL ROs including ones that have already been created and all future ROs that will be created.
