RO numbering

In our system, each repair order is numbered uniquely within the system. The repair order numbers start at 1000 and increase from there. However, Repair Order numbers can start at a different number, just let us know and we can the starting number.

**Please keep in mind that we cannot start at a lower number.**

If you have a data transfer done and the newest RO created starts at 4000 we would need to start the next one at 4001. We can only go higher than the last RO created. This is to avoid any mix up with the RO numbers or over lapping numbers.  

In addition to the repair order number, a tag or Hat number can be assigned to each repair order.  This will give an additional way to identify the vehicle on the lot.

You can also have the Tag/Hat number print on the invoice instead of the RO number. This setting can be turned on in Settings->Custom Settings->Print Preferences and will be in the second column. 

** Keep in mind that when you turn on the Tag/Hat printing preference it will also affect your reports. It will only show the Tag/Hat numbers on the report until you turn this setting off.**
