Managing Credit Holds

 

A Credit Hold is a way to put a customer account on hold if there are outstanding amounts due or if they have reached the credit limit. This will not allow any new RO's to be made for that customer while the Customer File is on Credit Hold. 

 

To start a credit hold:

 

Click Accounting from the Main Menu

 

Click Accounts Rec. (A/R) 

 

Manage On Hold Status

 

Search for the Customer and click Place On Hold

 

 

***This will NOT allow any new RO's to be started for this customer until the Credit Hold is taken off

 

This will show in the customers and it will not allow an RO to be created until the amount due is lower than the credit limit or the credit hold has been released. 

 

 

To remove the Credit Hold you will want to follow the above steps and the Hold status button will be green and say Release Hold. This will remove the Credit hold on the customer.
